Latin Americans

At one end of what we know as the West, is Latin America and has outstanding matters to resolve the problem of development and poverty. Already years behind a skilled Latin American politician said: while the Anglo-Saxon working seriously and spoke in jest, we Latin Americans are serious and work in jest. Also, I remember years ago a cover of Newsweek magazine said: there are not democracies, but kleptocracies in Latin America. And, finally, in the same magazine, on the last page, were once a thought: the pessimist is better informed optimist. And what this all goes?that although Latin America is doing well, not going as well as it could go, because, simply, their leaders do not focus their attention on what really they have to be proactive, for example, education and research, not only to continue producing raw materials, but develop new technologies, the theme of diversity and their conflicts, modernity and tradition, fractionation and values, etc. LOA Latin American countries can not continue investing in political blindness and that social problems continue playing, simply for not doing something about social inequalities and gaps that exist and keeping a State that is not efficient or effective in service to the citizen. Train their professionals and scientists and put them at the service of his country in this third millennium fully identified with the information society, is the challenge that Latin America faces, as task to not stay among non-viable countries on Earth.
